The November Security Officer of the Month was awarded to Luso De Silva one of our Area Support Officers (ASO). As an ASO Luso works on a variety of sites and is often required to cover difficult assignments and those where specific duites are required. He was nominated by the client as she did not see a difference in the first-rate service provided by her usual Guard and stated that "Luso was an excellent replacement for their regular officer". Well done Luso. |

The January Security Officer of the Month was awarded to Gary Barnes. Gary took over an existing team at a pharmaceutical company in Oxford and since then has implemented many new procedures and documentation to facilitate an efficient operation. He has put training manuals in place and acts as an important link between us and our client. During the snow earlier this year he was instrumental in obtaining a small digger from a neighbouring company and organised the removal of the snow on site ensuring that business continued as usual. Following an audit the results came back as excellent and was said by the auditor to be the best he had ever conducted. Outstanding work Gary. |

The Silver Fox Award The Silver Fox Award was given to Chris Mockett. Whilst working late at a pharmaceutical company an alarm engineer came to the front door claiming there was a problem with the alarm and tried to gain access through the intercom. Chris did not let him in even though he was persistent and advised him there was not a problem and to try next door which he did. He came back 5 minutes later claiming to have tried next door but Chris still refused access to the building and confirmed there was no problem with the alarm. At this point the auditor gave up and revealed his true identity. Excellent work Chris. |

Retirement Having served 30 years in the Thames Valley Police and reaching the rank of Detective Chief Superintendant, Tony Miller joined Risk Management Security Services in August 1995. Holding roles of Operations Director, Managing Director and for the last 18 months as a Consultant Tony has always brought a logical and pragmatic approach to company matters and any problems that required a swift resolution. Tony is very much a people person and would often make it his business to meet management and security officers during the silent hours to ensure quality standards were maintained and more importantly so he knew what was going on. We wish Tony all the very best in his retirement and know that his leisure activities will take up much of his time. |
