Heather Guntrip is employed as an Area Support Officer in Oxfordshire. While covering a duty at a large business park Heather had concerns over a driver who came to the security office and asked for directions. As she spoke to the driver it became clear he was under the influence of alcholol and posed a danger to members of the public using the Park. After passing this information to the local Police Community Support Officer a vehicle was dispatched to the area to monitor the drivers activities. The person and the vehicle were then pulled over by the Police Officers who attempted to breathalyse the driver resulting in a positive test showing him to be three times over the limit.
This is an excellent example of awareness and upholding public spirit. It would have been easy for Heather to "turn a blind eye" and let the driver go on his way. This excellent work has been noted by both us and our client and as recognition have awarded Heather Security Officer of the Month.
